Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house that possibly dates back to the 16th century. It features a cruck frame with timber-framed walls, brick infill, and a tiled roof. The building has one storey with an attic and is framed in irregular square panels, supported by two curved tension braces. There are three windows on the ground floor and two gabled dormers above. The door is located to the right of the left-hand window. There is a 20th-century extension to the right that matches the original style, with imitation timber-framing. The cottage has chimneys located between the second and third bays and towards the right, behind the ridge at the junction with the extension. A cruck truss is partly exposed in the left-hand gable, and the interior contains two additional cruck trusses.
