Description

Two pairs of gatepiers and gates mark the entrance to the drive leading to Severn End. These structures date from the late 19th century and are made of brick, stone, and wrought iron. The inner piers support double gates that create a carriage entrance, while each side features gates for pedestrian access. The piers are square in shape with re-entrant corners and are topped with moulded cornices. The outer piers are adorned with finials that have balls, and the inner piers are decorated with carved pelicans.
