Description
The lodge at the entrance to the drive to Severn End is a late 19th-century building constructed of brick with sandstone dressings and applied timbering, topped with a tile roof. It stands two storeys high and features two gabled wings: one facing the drive and the other facing the road. Each wing has a four-light chamfered stone mullioned window on the ground floor, while the first floor of each wing showcases applied close-studding and a five-light timber mullioned window. The bargeboards are intricately carved with vine scroll ornamentation. Between the two wings, the main roof sweeps down over a porch, part of which is open and supported by three oak Tuscan columns on stone pedestals. At the rear, there are chimneys with clustered shafts.
