Description
Cole's Farmhouse is a house that may date back to the 16th century or earlier. It features a cruck frame with timber-framed walls, brick infill, and a tiled roof. The building is one storey high with an attic and is framed in irregular square panels.
On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century French window with a canopy. To the right of this window is a 20th-century metal casement window, with an attic dormer situated above it. The right side of the facade has a single-storey brick lean-to addition. On the left side, there is a box-framed addition that includes a window for the attic and a doorway on the ground floor. The left gable features a truss with struts between the tie-beam and collar, while the right gable wall has a cruck truss that is truncated at collar level. A chimney is located on the ridge to the left of the dormer.
The interior was not accessible during the survey, but it is reported to contain cruck trusses, which are now covered, totaling four in number.
