Description
Hill Top Farmhouse is a house probably dating to around 1800, with remnants of a 17th century or earlier structure. It is built of brick with a concealed timber frame. The house comprises a one-bay cross-wing to the left and a single-bay range to the right. The windows are casements with segmental heads. A door is located to the right of the cross-wing, and a lean-to extends against the north wall of the cross-wing. A 20th century lean-to porch now largely covers the ground floor along the front. A chimney is visible on the front wall of the right-hand range. The cross-wing displays an exposed gable truss with a tie-beam, collar, and raking struts. The interior was not accessible during a survey in June 1986.
