Description

Court Farm House is a 17th-century farmhouse that has undergone some alterations. It features a timber-framed structure with brick infill and a brick refacing on the lower storey of the north gable, topped with tiled roofs. The building has a roughly L-shaped plan, with the main range running east-west and consisting of three framed bays, while a north projecting range at the west end has two framed bays. There are external stacks located at the east gable end and on the west return of the north projecting range, which is now enclosed by a later lean-to.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic. The south elevation displays irregular fenestration, including three-light casements and glazing bar sash windows. There is a central gabled dormer with a two-light casement, a blocked opening, and two glazing bar sash windows on the first floor. To the left, there are two sash windows, and to the right of the left of centre, there are two three-light casements. A 20th-century glazed door is present, along with a ledge door on the west return.

The framing of the house is almost complete, consisting of two panels from the sill to the mid-rail, three panels above to the wall-plate, and diagonal bracing from the sill to the main post and above from the mid-rail to the main post. V-struts are visible in the gables. The interior has not been inspected.
