Description
Pasture Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is timber-framed with brick infill, although the ground floor is now mostly 18th-century rubblestone. The south front and south-east wing are also rubblestone with brick dressings. The roof is tiled, with a hipped angle at the north-east. The farmhouse has two storeys and three bays, with the south-east wing forming an L-shaped plan.
The north, or entrance, elevation features a gabled central bay with a board door in a porch, extending eaves across a set-back bay to the left. A cross casement is to the right. The right-hand bay contains two ground-floor cross casements and a three-light leaded casement on the first floor. A stack is located in the right-hand gable, and another on the ridge of the centre bay. The east elevation has three-light leaded casements; the left bay has a three-light upper casement with a segmental head and a lean-to ground-floor addition. The south elevation has a central door with a radial arched fanlight, and mullion and transom windows on either side. A two-light leaded casement is on the left-hand first floor. The south-east wing has a brick gable. A single-storey store building is attached to the south.
Inside, the interior features chamfered spine beams and crossbeams, with run-out stops.
