Description

Vine Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with 19th-century extensions to the rear and south. It is timber-framed with brick infill, and has brick later extensions, all under a tiled roof. The cottage comprises two framed bays, with an end stack. It is a single-storey building with an attic, featuring 2-light wooden casement windows, one to a dormer on the left and one flanking the central entrance. A 19th-century trellis porch fronts the entrance, which now has a 20th-century glazed door. The timber framing is largely complete, originally consisting of three panels from sill to wall-plate, although the lower panel has been partly refaced. There are V-struts to the gable.
