Description
41 Eardiston is a house dating from the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building features a brick facade with coursed dressed sandstone rubble on the front elevation and has a plain tiled roof with a parapet and a stack at the right gable end, along with a rebuilt stack to the left of the front roof pitch. It stands two storeys high and has a modillion eaves cornice at the rear. The house has three bays, with all openings featuring cambered heads. On the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window, a mid-20th century small rectangular light, and a two-light casement window that has been inserted into the original opening. The first floor has three irregularly spaced two-light casements of varying sizes. The central entrance is marked by a ledged and battened door. There is a single-storey addition at the left gable end, which includes a three-light casement window, a rectangular light, and a mid-20th century door on its front elevation. The house is included for its group value with adjacent properties.
