HANLEY CASTLE CP Severn End Cottage and outbuilding adjoining at right angles

GV II House and outbuilding. Late C17. Brick with tile roof. L-plan. South wall of outbuilding faces Severn End (qv). It has three wide doorways with gauged brick arches above timber lintels. Further right are two doorways with transom lights and gauged brick arches with keystones. Between them is a window. The right-hand (east) wall belongs to the house and has five windows with timber mullion and transom. All have gauged brick heads except for the middle one which is set within a blocked doorway. Four attic dormers. Chimney on ridge towards right.
