GV II

Shop. Early to mid C18. Brick with parapeted roof. 3 storeys; 5-window range. Top cornice and coped parapet, ramped between piers; end pilasters. Ground floor C20 shop fronts. Windows have rubbed brick flat arches and keystones over two C19 horned sashes and 2 modern to 1st floor, over 6-pane sashes to 2nd floor; central bay has tripartite window with angle pilasters and antae, entablature and central pediment to 1st floor, Diocletian window with archivolt, keystone and tripartite sash to 2nd floor. 1st bay had lost 1st and 2nd floors, now (1990) reconstructed. INTERIOR reconstructed C20, no features of interest. Ground floor originally had round-headed windows and central pedimented entrance (late C19 photograph).
