Includes: Nos.54, 55 AND 56 ST JOHN'S STREET Wolverhampton. Shown on OS map as Nos 54, 55, 56, St John's Street. House, now shops and office. Early C18. Stucco; tile roof. 2 storeys, 5-window range, with later 3-storey bay to left. Cornice over ground floor, top entablature with deep frieze, quoins; 1st bay breaks forward under cornice; coped gable to left end. Ground floor has C20 shop front with entrance to left; 6th bay has wide window with frieze and consoled cornice and C19 shop front with inserted C20 casement. 1st floor has 16-pane sash with horns to 1st bay, attic casemented window cutting cornice; other windows have fielded-panelled keystones, those to 2nd to 4th bays with 12-pane sashes, that to 5th bay blocked, that to 6th bay enlarged, with casement. Rear has later alterations and additions. INTERIOR may contain features of interest, not visible at time of survey.
