Description
22 Queen Square is a mid-19th century shop and office building located in Wolverhampton. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a parapeted roof in the Italianate style. The building stands four storeys tall and has a two-window range. The 20th-century shop front is made of ashlar and includes a Tuscan pilaster, an enriched sill band on the second floor, and a top cornice with modillions, end stops, and anthemions. The right side has panelled quoins.
On the first floor, the windows are adorned with panelled pilasters, friezes, and consoled pediments. The second-floor windows feature eared architraves, friezes, and cornices, while the third-floor windows have eared architraves, keystones, and panelled sills. All windows are fitted with late 19th-century plate-glass sashes. There is a gable-end stack on the right side. The architectural details are similar to those found on Nos 20 and 21 Queen Square. The interior has not been inspected.
