Description

Salisbury House is a mid-19th century building located on Tettenhall Road in Wolverhampton, currently used as offices. The structure is made of stucco and features a parapeted roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands three stories tall with a symmetrical design. The central section has five windows, flanked by two-story wings with two windows each. The ground floor is adorned with an entablature, a sill band on the second floor, and an enriched frieze topped with a deep modillioned cornice. The wings also have top entablatures and quoins.

On the ground floor, there are two wide canted bays with angle pilasters, cornices, and round-headed windows that have rusticated jambs, triple keystones, and sash windows. The wings feature similar projecting tripartite windows. The first floor includes windows with eared architraves, triple keystones, and sashes, while the central canted oriel on a triple arcade has 12-pane sashes. The two windows to the right also have 12-pane sashes, but the remaining windows lack glazing bars. The second floor has architraved windows with 9-pane sashes, and a central Diocletian window with a casement. The entrance is recessed behind an arcade and has 20th-century doors and sidelights. The rear of the building has been altered and extended. The interior has not been inspected.
