Description

Blenheim Terrace comprises three houses built around 1850 in Wolverhampton. The terrace is constructed of brick with ashlar detailing, and has a slate roof with prominent brick chimney stacks. The three-storey design features a six-window facade. A sill band runs along the first floor, and a decorative cornice sits at the top of the building. The gables are coped and feature kneelers. The ground floor windows are tripartite, with segmental heads and keystones above the four-pane sashes. First-floor windows are also segmental-headed with keystones, and have shallow, enriched cast iron balconies. Second-floor windows have nine-pane sashes. The entrances are topped with Greek Revival style pediments and feature half-glazed doors with decorative fanlights. Steps lead to the entrance of No. 35, and decorative ramped handrails are positioned at Nos. 33 and 37. Two large, cross-axial chimney stacks are present. Blenheim Terrace is an example of 19th-century suburban development in Wolverhampton.
