House. 1828-1834, with later alterations. Brick with painted stucco facade, Welsh slate roof and cast-iron treads. 3 storeys with basement, 2 first-floor windows. First floor: tall 4/4 sashes with plain reveals. Second floor: 3/6 sashes with plain reveals and sills. Ground floor, entrance to right: round-arched opening, 6 roll-edged steps to part-glazed, 4-panel door with overlight. Tripartite window: 1/1 sashes. Basement has 4/4 sash. Stack to left. Decorative cast-iron grills to treads of second and third steps. Replacement individual balconies to first floor windows. INTERIOR: not inspected. HISTORICAL NOTE: Grove Street was laid out in 1828, the west side and lower part of the east side were built by 1834.
