Description

This is a house dating from approximately 1830 to 1840, with later alterations. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with a painted stucco facade, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring a cast-iron verandah.

The house is two storeys high and has two windows on the first floor. The first floor windows are 6/6 sash windows and 3/6 sash windows. The ground floor has two steps leading to a central entrance with a six-fielded-panel door and a fanlight containing radial glazing-bars that incorporate the house number. The entrance is protected by a porch with Tuscan pilasters, a frieze, cornice, and a shallow pediment. Flanking the entrance are two smaller 2/2 sash windows. The building has wide eaves and a hipped roof with ridge stacks.

The garden facade is also two storeys high with two first-floor windows. It is characterised by 2/2 sash windows throughout, with the ground floor windows being taller and featuring a verandah with a scroll motif.

The interior has not been inspected. Augusta Place itself was laid out and built during the 1830s.
