Description
Waterside Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the early 20th century. The ground floor is constructed of coursed blue lias rubble, while the first floor is made of brick over a timber middle rail, featuring some timber-framing at the front. The cottage has a steeply pitched thatched roof with brick end stacks and follows a two-unit plan.
The exterior is two storeys high and features a three-window range. On the ground floor, there are two windows with two-light small-paned casements, which include iron opening casements. The first floor has similar windows flanking a small square window. To the left side, there is an L-plan extension that is stone and weatherboarded, topped with a hipped thatch roof. This extension includes an entrance with a battened and studded door, accompanied by two-light windows on either side. At the rear, there is a gabled wing. The interior has not been inspected.
