Stable And Barn Approximately 12 Metres South East Of Rollswood Farmhouse

This stable and barn, built in the mid to late 18th century, is located approximately 12 meters southeast of Rollswood Farmhouse. The stable is constructed from regularly coursed lias stone and brick, while the barn is timber-framed with weatherboarding and a lias stone plinth. Both structures share a single old tile roof and are arranged in an L-plan layout.

The stable features a central stable door with a brick surround and flanking windows, all topped with segmental brick arches. There is a hayloft doorway above, although the door is missing. The upper section of the barn's wall, which is made of brick, has central plank doors. At the rear, the stable includes a brick outshut with lias quoins and plinth. The barn has a porch with a half-hipped gable, but the doorway is now blocked with weatherboarding.

Inside, the stable has a central passage and retains the remains of two rows of stalls, along with a hayrack and trough. The barn features jowled posts, one queen post, and one tie beam and collar roof truss. This building forms part of an interesting group of structures.
