Description

Rollswood Farmhouse is a farmhouse with origins in the 17th century, with a front range added in the mid to late 18th century. A rear range is partly timber framed with brick infill, while the remainder is of brick. The front range features lias quoins and keyblocks, along with a brick dentil cornice. The roof is tiled, with brick end stacks.

The farmhouse has a double-depth plan consisting of 2 parallel ranges. It is two storeys and an attic, with a 3-window front. The off-centre entrance has a 6-panelled door with an overlight, protected by a panelled hood resting on large, shaped brackets. The windows are 20th-century leaded light wood mullioned and transomed, set within brick flat arches. There are 3 hipped dormers with old leaded-light casements. Large external stacks are visible on the left and right return sides. The rear of the building reveals some exposed timber framing. The interior of the farmhouse was not inspected.
