Description
Barley Leys Farmhouse is an 18th-century brick farmhouse with a tile roof and brick stacks. It is constructed on an L-shaped plan, with a rear wing. The two-storey, three-window front features a left-hand entrance with a glazed door and wrought iron scrollwork porch. The windows are casements with glazing bars, and the ground floor windows are set within brick segmental arches. A ridge stack is present, incorporating a string course and cornice, with a ground floor projection, possibly a bread oven, and a tile roof located below it. There is also a brick lateral stack. The interior has not been inspected. A stone barn, originally separate, is now incorporated into the house on the left. Two very large 20th-century windows are also present.
