Description
York Farm Barn, built in the 18th century, is located approximately 15 meters north of the farmhouse. The barn is constructed from squared, coursed limestone with quoins and features coped gables. It has a corrugated asbestos roof and consists of six bays. There is a large weatherboarded opening in the center and to the right, while a further opening on the left has been partially blocked with stone. A 19th-century porch is present, along with a lean-to at the rear. Inside, the barn has a queen post roof with additional struts rising from the tie-beam to the principal rafters. The tie-beams are stop-chamfered, and there are original trenched purlins. A hayloft is located to the left.
