Description

Armscote Farm barn, located approximately 15 meters northwest of the farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone and features a tile roof. The barn has three bays, with large double plank doors at the center, which are topped by an original chamfered lintel. There is a large 19th-century brick buttress on the left side, and an opposing opening that has been blocked. Inside, there is one tie-beam roof truss with a collar, while the other truss has been replaced in the 19th century. The original purlins are still present. This barn is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
