Description

York Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century, is a limestone building with quoins and coped gables on kneelers. It has a slate roof with ashlar ridge details and end stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a four-window front. It follows a three-unit plan. A part-glazed door with an original overlight, sheltered by a moulded hood on consoles, is located centrally on the left side. The ground floor features three sixteen-pane unhorned sash windows with quoined surrounds and stone lintels, while the first floor has four such windows. At the rear is a wing with casement windows set within stone arches. A 20th-century brick lean-to has been added. The interior has not been inspected.
