Description
The Old Rectory is a rectory built in the early 19th century. It features a combination of limestone ashlar and squared, coursed rubble, topped with a slate roof. The building has ashlar ridge and end stacks.
It is two stories high and has a three-window range with a central staircase plan. The front features a bow window with pilasters and a moulded cornice, flanked by a twelve-pane sash window on either side. To the left and right, there are tripartite sash windows with blind semi-circular arches and keystones. On the first floor, there are three twelve-pane sash windows. The facade is divided into three bays by pilasters, and the left facade has had its stucco removed. There is a stone porch on the left with pilasters and a coped parapet, featuring part-glazed double doors with an overlight. All openings have twelve-pane sashes. At the rear, there is a two-storey range with six-pane sashes in all openings. The stack is said to be dated 1807.
Inside, there is a barley-sugar baluster staircase.
