Description

This is a house with an attached outbuilding, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone with quoins and a plinth, and has an asbestos tile roof with a brick end stack. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and has a two-window front. It follows an L-shaped plan. At the centre of the front is a plank door with a moulded rail, above which is an overlight. A 20th-century gabled timber porch covers the door. To the left of the door is a three-light casement window with 18 panes, set within a wooden lintel. A 19th-century three-light casement window with a wooden lintel is located to the right of the door. The first floor has a two-light casement window on either side, also set within wooden lintels. Two 20th-century dormers have been added to the roof. A rear wing, dating from the 18th century, mirrors the front with similar casement windows. Attached to the left side of the main house is a stone outbuilding with a half-hipped roof and large plank doors, which are open to the rear. Inside the main house are chamfered beams, an open fireplace, plank doors, and a winding staircase. The outbuilding has two bays and a roof structure consisting of pegged queen struts with a collar.
