Description
The Hollies is a building that originally consisted of two houses but is now one house. It dates back to the 17th century and has undergone restorations in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill set on a rubble plinth, along with brick walling on the lower part of the ground floor. It has a steeply pitched tile roof with brick stacks located at the front ridge, as well as at the ends and center.
The building is a single storey plus attic with a four-window range. The entrance, located to the left of center, includes a plank door and a side light beneath a pentice. The windows are leaded casements with iron opening casements; the ground floor has windows with 3, 5, and 2 lights, while the first floor features hipped dormers with 3-light casements. The left side of the building has brick walling and timber framing in the gable, which includes two small lights. The rear has a brick wing with a hipped dormer. The right side also displays timber framing with a window in the gable. The interior has not been inspected.
