Description
Brookdale is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of Sambourne Middleton. It features a timber frame with jowled posts, lath and plaster, and rendered brick infill, with the front almost entirely rendered. The roof is covered with concrete tiles and there is a brick stack at the corner. The building has an L-plan shape with a gable at the front and consists of two storeys and an attic, presenting a one-window range. The entrance is located on the right return side and has a late 20th-century half-glazed door. The windows exhibit irregular placement and include late 20th-century casements. The left return side shows exposed framing throughout, while the right return side has some exposed framing. The rear of the cottage also displays exposed framing. Inside, there are exposed framing and broad-chamfered ceiling beams.
