Description
Perrymill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a large wing added in the early 19th century and other 19th-century modifications. The building is timber framed, featuring square framing with whitewashed brick infill, and is partly underbuilt in whitewashed brick. The wing is constructed of red brick and has a brick dentil cornice, with old tile roofs and brick end stacks.
The farmhouse is arranged in a three-unit layout, extending to an L-plan. The 17th-century section is two storeys high and has a three-window range. There is a 19th-century plank door located on the return side of the single-storey wing on the left. The windows are a mix of 19th and 20th-century casements. The left return side features a jowled post. The wing on the left is two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. The central entrance has a 20th-century six-panelled door set within a moulded wood doorcase that includes brackets and a simple pediment. The windows are mood mullioned and transomed, set under brick segmental arches, with the ground floor window on the left being blind.
Inside, the farmhouse showcases exposed framing and ceiling beams, an open fireplace, old plank doors, and a king post roof.
