Description
The Barn is a 17th-century building that originally served as a barn and stable but has been converted into a shop in the late 20th century. It features a timber frame with square framing and tension braces, along with brick infill, topped by a tiled roof. The structure includes a three-bay barn and a two-bay stable. The barn has central plank doors with a shop front behind them, while the former stable doorway on the right has a half-glazed door and an adjacent window. The hayloft doorway is boarded up, and small windows have been inserted into the framing interstices. The return sides of the building have jowled posts. Inside, the barn retains its walls and diagonal braces. Although a floor and partition have been added, they do not seem to have impacted the overall structure.
