SK 13 SE PARISH OF FOSTON & SCROPTON SCROPTON LANE 2/19 (North Side) The Old Hall 30 II

Cottage. C17. A complete timber framed building with outshut. Box framed with brick infil and part brick casing. Plain tile roof with central brick stack. Lobby entrance plan. Single storey plus attics. Two bay east elevation with exposed box framing with two sets of braces. Off-centre doorway with C20 wooden porch. To the right a 2-light small pane casement window. At the north east corner a small C20 extension. South gable end encased in brick and cement render, with only the corner posts and rafters of the end roof truss visible. Segment headed 3-light wooden casement window to ground floor and 2-light C20 window above. Outshut to the left under continuous roof, with single C20 window to south. Interior has massive central chimney breast with large inglenook in the south room. Braced single purlin roof.
