Description
25 and 27 High Street are mid-19th century houses that have been converted into shops. They are constructed from red brick and feature boxed eaves. The roof is not visible, but there are brick stacks present. The buildings are arranged in an L-plan and rise three storeys high, with a three-window range. The ground floor has been entirely altered in the late 20th century to accommodate shop fronts. The upper floors retain sash windows, with 16 panes on the first floor, and are adorned with rusticated rendered flat arches that have keyblocks. These buildings are included for their group value.
