Description
No. 15 High Street is a shop and dwelling, now used as a shop and offices, dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick, featuring a dentil cornice and a colourwashed ground floor. It has a tiled roof with brick ridge stacks and is designed in an L-plan. The structure rises three storeys and has a two-window range. The mid to late 19th-century projecting shop front includes central double-leaf glazed doors with margin bars and an overlight, along with two bay windows that have thin moulded shafts. The entrance on the left side has a half-glazed panelled door framed by a simple wood doorcase. The windows are sashes, with those on the first floor set under rusticated rendered flat arches and those on the second floor featuring gauged brick flat arches. Inside, there is an open well staircase with a moulded string.
