Description

This is a late 17th and early 18th century house, now a shop. It was altered and raised in height during the early to mid-19th century. The house is built of whitewashed brick with brick string courses and has a tile roof. It is arranged in an L-shape. The front elevation is three storeys high and originally contained three windows, though now only one is visible. A late 19th-century shop front features a central glazed door and bay windows. A central 16-pane sash window is present on the first floor. The narrower brick flat arches and blocked openings of the original windows are still visible. A lower second-floor section contains a sash window. A two-stage brick wing extends to the rear. The building may have originally been part of a single structure with number 10.
