Description
Vyner's Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th or 17th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and features a thatched roof with a stone and brick ridge stack. The original layout was L-shaped. The cottage is two stories high and has a three-window range of 20th-century casements with wooden lintels. There is a 20th-century stable door with a wooden lintel in the center. To the left, there is a two-story extension made of stone and thatch. The rear left section of the cottage includes a round projection for a bread oven. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams and two open fireplaces, along with some stone flags on the ground floor. The cottage retains original tie-beam trusses, although the roof has been raised, likely in the 18th century.
