Description

Toll Cottage and Stone Walls are two cottages dating from the mid-18th century. They are constructed from squared coursed limestone and feature quoins on the left side. The cottages have thatched roofs with stone end stacks. The buildings have a two-storey, four-window range, with 20th-century two- and three-light casements that have wooden lintels. The entrance to Toll Cottage is through a 20th-century door located in a stone and thatch extension on the right, while the entrance to Stone Walls is in a 20th-century stone porch on the left gable end. Eyebrow dormers can be seen on the rear of the cottages. The interiors have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest.
