Description
Waterditch Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with an extension added in the 19th century. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and has a concrete plain tile roof with gable ends. The building features gable-end stacks with small stone shafts. The layout consists of a three-room plan, with a parlour on the left and a kitchen on the right, both heated by gable-end fireplaces, and an unheated central room that has a direct entry from a doorway on the left. There are 19th-century outshuts at the rear.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical south front with a total of four windows. The windows are 18th or 19th-century three-light casements with iron frames and leaded panes, all featuring wooden lintels. The first-floor windows are smaller. There is a doorway to the left of centre with a panelled door that has glazed top panels and a 20th-century gabled porch. To the right of the doorway, there is a single-light window. At the rear, there is a large outshut on the left and a lower shallow outshut to its right.
