Description

This cottage, located on Crockwell Road (previously known as Crockle Street), dates to the 17th and 18th centuries. Constructed from squared coursed limestone, it features a thatched roof and stone end stacks. The building follows a two-unit plan, with two stories and a two-window front. The windows are primarily C19 three-light casements, with two C20 replacements. Ground-floor windows have wooden lintels. A plank door is set within a C20 one-story stone extension to the right. A stone and brick buttress strengthens the center of the building, and a C20 one-story stone lean-to extends to the left. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of historical interest.
