Description

The Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, situated on the east side of Top Street in Burton Dassett. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone and has a concrete tile roof with coped gable parapets, moulded kneelers, and 20th-century brick end stacks. The house follows a central staircase plan.

The symmetrical front elevation has two storeys and a three-window range. A late 19th or early 20th-century half-glazed fielded four-panelled door, set under a wooden lintel, is centrally positioned, and is sheltered by a canopy porch with metal shafts. Late 19th or early 20th-century cross windows, with horizontal glazing bars, have lintels with keyblocks; the ground floor sills have been renewed. The rear of the property features a staircase projection with a coped gable parapet and a small two-light window. The interior remains uninspected.
