Description
The Poplars is a house dated 1579, with additions and alterations from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a concrete tile roof with a nave coped gable parapet and moulded kneelers on the left side. The building has a 2-unit plan that extends to an L-plan, with a wing on the right at the rear. It is two stories tall and has a two-window range. The ground floor has wide openings with old painted wood lintels and a central stone pier. The left opening includes a window and a mid-20th century glazed door, while the right opening has two windows. The mid-20th century metal casements are two-light with horizontal glazing bars. The first floor features three-light 19th-century casements, also with horizontal glazing bars, and painted rusticated flat arches. The interior has not been inspected.
