Description

Between Towns is a house built in the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched stone slate roof laid in diminishing courses, with brick stacks at each end. The house has two storeys plus an attic and a two-window range. The central entrance has a renewed door and a 20th-century stone corbelled hood. On either side of the entrance are three-light 20th-century casement windows with stone lintels. The first floor has two similar windows with wooden lintels. Inside, the room to the right of the entrance includes a stop-chamfered beam and chamfered joists, as well as an inglenook fireplace.
