Description

Haselor Grounds Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed of red brick, featuring a brick string course and a dentil cornice. The building has a tile roof with brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge. It is designed in an L-shape with a rear wing, standing two storeys tall with an attic and a four-window range. The main facade facing the garden includes a central entrance with 20th-century French windows and a hood supported by shaped brackets. There is a 20th-century wood mullioned and transomed window, along with other windows. Two ground floor windows have brick cambered arches, while the central first-floor window has an altered opening with a painted wood lintel and a 20th-century fixed light window featuring glazing bars. A 19th or 20th-century window on the lower left side has a painted wood lintel and glazing bars. The house also has two gabled roof dormers with 20th-century windows. The right side has an external stack, and the left side features twin gables with brick corbelling. The entrance includes a panelled door in a moulded wood surround, and there is an original two-light leaded casement window with a brick segmental arch on the first floor. The wing projecting to the road has string courses and 19th and 20th-century casements under brick segmental arches. The interior has not been inspected. The farmhouse is part of a larger group that includes an attached shelter shed, barn, and cowhouse.
