Description
The Malt House is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, with a possibly later rear wing. It is constructed of English bond brick and features an old tile roof with a brief ridge stack. The building is L-shaped, with a wing at the rear, and has one storey and an attic, along with one ground floor window. The entrance is an old plank door with strap hinges located on the left side, and there is a late 20th century open timber porch. The front includes a two-light oak mullioned window with leaded lights and crown glass. At the rear, there is a long wing on the right with irregular fenestration, featuring 19th and 20th century casements and a roof dormer, as well as an open verandah. Inside, the cottage has an open fireplace, ceiling beams, and old three-plank doors with strap hinges.
