Description

A row of four cottages, originally five, dating to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The cottages are situated on the north side of the Henley Road in Great Alne. Numbers 1 and 3 are constructed of regular coursed lias stone, while numbers 2 and 4 are of red brick with brick dentil cornices. The roof is tiled, with brick ridge stacks. The cottages have a double-depth plan, and are two storeys in height, with a five-window front. There are six paired doors, with number 1 featuring two plank doors and numbers 2, 3, and 4 having ribbed doors. The windows are casements; three-light on the ground floor and two-light on the first floor. Number 1 was likely originally two cottages. The interior was not inspected.
