Description
Malthouse Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of brick, featuring a contrasting red brick dentil course and a two-brick stepped string course below. The building has voussoirs and a slate roof with coped verges, kneelers, and brick end stacks. It has an L-shaped layout, with a two-storey rear wing that has a tile roof and serves as outbuildings, while the main range is two storeys tall with an attic and includes a single-storey 19th-century brick wing to the right. The facade has three windows with renewed two-light wood mullions and transoms, complete with keystones and voussoirs. The ground floor has similar windows and a central half-glazed four-panel door that is sheltered by a projecting pedimented porch hood. There are three gabled dormers featuring plain paired casements and brick gables.
