Description
These are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century, situated on Old Road in Shipston on Stour. They are built of painted brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a rendered plinth. The roofs are slate, and feature polygonal brick ridge stacks. The cottages are designed in a Gothick style, and are curved to the left. The plan is based on three units. Each cottage contains an original plank door, set within a moulded brick ogee arch surround with an ogee hood mould and label stops. The windows are multi-paned ogee-arch casements, each with Gothick lights, an ogee hood mould and label stops, at both ground and first floor levels on the left, centre and right. The interior has not been inspected.
