Description

A pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century, situated alongside a farmhouse to the west. They are constructed of brown brick in both Flemish bond and English Garden Wall bond, with a slate roof. Each cottage has two storeys and one bay. The front features single windows with multi-paned cast-iron Gothic Revival casements, displaying interlaced head tracery under Tudor arches. These windows incorporate small, centrally positioned four-pane opening lights and stone sills. The front elevation is in Flemish bond, with framed, braced, and ledged doors set beneath blocked, semi-circular fanlights. Gable and rear elevations employ English Garden Wall bond. The rear doors are framed, ledged, and braced, also under segmental arches. A shared central chimney stack is present. Inside, each cottage contains two rooms on both the ground and first floors. Features include boarded doors, a cottage winder staircase in the western cottage, and exposed ceiling joists.
