Description
The icehouse, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, is constructed of buff-pink brick and is set into an earth mound. The front of the structure has largely collapsed, but it leads into a short barrel-vaulted passage. At the end of this passage, there is an enlarged opening that leads into a deeper circular chamber. This chamber features a domed brick vault and a dished floor. The icehouse is located in the grounds of the now demolished Mollington Hall.
