Description
Aldersey House is a house with early 18th century origins that was extended and remodeled around 1830. It features an English garden wall bond and a Welsh slate roof, with two gable brick chimneys. The building is two stories high and has a four-bay front. A sawtooth brick cornice decorates the top. The ground floor has 16-pane sash windows with cambered wedged stone heads and stone sills, while the upper floor has similar 12-pane sash windows. The second bay includes a wooden doorcase with a flat hood supported by simple consoles, a rectangular fanlight with a glazed lunette and solid spandrels, and a six-panelled door with a large brass knocker. The left side of the house displays a brick band at the first floor level of the original structure. The interior has not been inspected.
