Description
This is an early 19th-century house located on the east side of New Street, Shipston on Stour. The house is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a rendered plinth and a dentilated eaves cornice. It has a slate roof and brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a curved four-window front. The plan is based on three units. A four-panelled door, partially glazed, is set in the centre of the right side, with a gabled hood supported by consoles above. There are four sash windows on the first floor, each with 12 panes. Three casement windows imitating sashes, also with 12 panes, run along the ground floor to the left of the door. All windows are topped with painted brick flat arches containing keyblocks. A 20th-century skylight has been added. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
